Tips on reading your Bible:
Start by reading a chapter in the morning and evening. Mark in your Bible and write in a notebook everything that stands out in the chapter you read. The Lord speaks to us through His Word.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. 2Ti 3:16 & 17
* Start by reading the Gospel of John first
* Then read the whole Net Testament – Matthew through Revelation
* After that you again read the New Testament and this time you can start reading the Old Testament as well starting with Genesis reading all the way through to Malachi.
Do not jump around but stick to your schedule and read in order. If you read Mark 1 last time, then read Mark 2 next. You can read as many chapters as you like at once, but remember, it’s better to read the Bible slowly than going through quickly and in so doing missing a lot of precious truths.
You won’t always understand everything you read the first time, the Lord gives us all the necessary understanding, if you are faithful in what you read and understand you will be blessed and grow spiritually. Pray Psalm 119:18 "Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold Wondrous things out of thy law."
The most important things for spiritual growth:
* Testify
About what God has done for you.
